Psychological Care Through Our Ears..

Music is a big part of me. I use music as an assistant to my visual/creative mindset which then triggers my emotions. You know how every verse hit different? Then you find yourself in your bed, crying, looking at the ceiling. Try using music as a way to heal and see things in a different perspective, through the harmony, beats and rhythm.

Jill Scott.  🤎

Comes to Light (Everything)

Are you feeling like there's a ton of weight on your shoulders? Have you said some things you shouldn't have said? Are you still hurting from someone/something from the past? Jill Scott is experiencing some resentment in this song and she's hurt by it and wants to heal. Everything comes to the light signifies that you will eventually grow, not GET over it. So, you may have some trouble dealing with it but'll it get better.

Whitney Houston is a powerful singer and she always has a message in every song. R.I.P 🤎

Exhale, to me Exhale is about being content with where you are in life, taking a deep breath and moving on. This can apply to love, love for yourself, identifying a crisis or going through a breakup. A lady must take a step back and "exhale" to understand that her personal development deserves more energy than a good/bad love.

Beyonce is OUR girl! 🤎

Don't Hurt Yourself is an empowering song that can be spoken to Black women that know their worth but they continue to settle for what is beneath them. "Blindly in love, I f*cks with you, till I realize I'm just too much for you." Literally, every Black woman's favorite line they just write on their foreheads. Yes, this song does talk about cheating but it also talks about knowing who tf you are! Psychological Self Care needs every bit of your positive self esteem so you can stop lowballing yourself and take a better look in the mirror babes :)

TLC ! 🤎

Unpretty is a beautiful song about inner beauty and opposing society's standards and expectations of Black women's beauty.    "I tried different ways, But it's all the same, at the end of the day I have myself to blame, I'm just trippin'." Literally, you're just tripping. Look inside you and find out who are inside and display it externally so you won't feel "unpretty". Yes, we love the extras; however, we are who we are without them. Always put yourself in a position to feel beautiful even when don't feel like it. Beauty does not entirely have anything to do with physical appearance, as long as you don't allow it to be.

Keyshia Cole 🤎

Enough of No Love ft Lil Wayne is all about having the mental capacity to walk away from something. You can apply this to any kind of relationship in your life. Stop making excuses for people, for yourself and for the way you feel. Stop asking yourself "is it worth it?" knowing you can't stay in that same negative mind space. Women have to stop beating themselves up over things that are out of our control, we cannot control how others feel or treat us. What we do have control over is what we accept & you accept anything when you stay.
